May 27, 2009

Breakfast, 12:15 p.m.

Banana and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Snack, 2:15 p.m.

Goldfish crackers.

Dinner, 5:30 p.m.

We discovered a new restaurant -- Antoinette's, in Plymouth. We had beer-battered fried cheese curds as an appetizer (quite possibly the best fried cheese I've ever had, including the curds at Cheese Fest), and then I had fettuccine Alfredo w/shrimp as my meal. Super good. I am pleased.

Snack, 11:30 p.m.

Chips and salsa.

Snack, 2:00 a.m.

Cottage cheese. I realize 2:00 a.m. is a bit late to be having snacks, but I was up until almost 5, so...

May 26, 2009

Breakfast, 12:15 p.m.

Light banana cream pie yogurt and Honey Nut Cheerios.

Snack, 3:30 p.m.

Goldfish crackers.

Snack, 5:45 p.m.

Banana.

Dinner, 7:30 p.m.

Cheese ravioli and [canned] mushrooms.

Snack, 10:15 p.m.

The milk was on the verge of expiring, so I figured a chocolate malt would be a good way to use it up. Yum.

May 25, 2009

Breakfast, 11:45 a.m.

Light strawberry banana yogurt and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 2:30 p.m.

A slice of Sam's Club take-n-bake pizza.

Dinner, 6:30 p.m.

Exercise Scientist Kelly invited us over for a Memorial Day cookout. I had a brat and potato chips for dinner.

Snack, 7:30 p.m.

What's a Memorial Day cookout without S'mores, right? I had one S'more, plus several additional roasted marshmallows, graham cracker pieces, and chocolate squares.

May 24, 2009

Breakfast, 12:00 p.m.

The usual.

Lunch, 1:30 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: I went over to Exercise Scientist Kelly's house to help her plant her garden. We had Subway for lunch -- I had a 6" oven roasted chicken sub on wheat bread, and Doritos.

Snack, 5:00 p.m.

Blueberry oatmeal -- dry.

Dinner, 9:30 p.m.

Hamburger hotdish. It looks awful, but it's actually quite tasty. (And quite Midwestern.)

Snack, 12:30 a.m.

Blue Moon ice cream sandwich.

May 23, 2009

Breakfast, 11:30 a.m.

Light blueberry yogurt and Honey Nut Cheerios.

Lunch, 2:00 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: I met Exercise Scientist Kelly at the greenhouse to buy plants for her yard and my balcony. We went out for Mexican after the greenhouse. Yum.

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.

Frozen pizza.

Snack, 11:45 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: Baked Lays (I think).

May 22, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast and light peach yogurt.

Lunch, 12:00 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: It was the last day of school, and I had a "New Faculty Luncheon" to attend. We went through the cafeteria line, but I don't remember what they were serving...I remember a slice of watermelon, an oatmeal raisin cookie, and a dish of cottage cheese...and maybe some sort of noodley casserole something or other?

Snack, 5:30 p.m.

Goldfish crackers.

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.

Stouffer's chicken alfredo. So good, so bad for me.

Snack, 11:30 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: Baked Doritos.

May 21, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

Just yogurt today...because I brought my students breakfast (muffins & juice) as a reward for pulling off an amazing poetry reading. So I had a second breakfast -- a chocolate chip muffin and a glass of OJ -- at 8:30.

Lunch, 12:00 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: It was faculty meeting day, which meant that the college fed me soup and salad for lunch...and also bread sticks and cookies.

Snack, 3:30 p.m.

Licorice!

Dinner, 6:45 p.m.

Last of the sloppy Joes.

Snack, 10:45 p.m.

I forgot that I had made pudding -- it was a pleasant surprise.

May 20, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

Light banana cream yogurt and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 11:45 a.m.

The usual.

Snack, 5:00 p.m.

Peaches & Berries Special K bar.

Dinner, 9:00 p.m.

Dinner was really late because my poetry class hosted a Favorite Poem Reading on campus at 7:00...which meant I didn't get home until late. The reading went so smoothly I could have sworn I was dreaming -- hooray! It was too late to actually prepare some dinner, so I just picked up Taco Bell on the way home.

May 19, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

The usual.

Lunch, 11:45 p.m.

Also the usual.

Dinner, 6:30 p.m.

Leftovers! (Plus chips and cranberry juice.)

Snack, 11:00 p.m.

Pistachio pudding -- I only ate a little bit of it.

May 18, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

Light peach yogurt and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 11:45 a.m.

Turkey sandwich, Baked Doritos, blueberry cereal bar, applesauce, and string cheese.

Snack, 5:30 p.m. (and also the most unflattering photo ever)

I have avoided the donut aisle at the grocery store for...I think since moving to Sheboygan. I caved today, though. Jon wandered in, and I wandered after him. Unfortunately, there's no explanation (or excuse) for the not-at-all-sexy, double-chin, donut-in-the-car photo.

Dinner, 8:30 p.m.

Tacos and rice. Very effortless, very yummy.

May 17, 2009

Breakfast, 10:30 a.m.

Light blueberry yogurt and Honey Nut Cheerios.

Lunch (Dinner?), 5:45 p.m.

Two Sloppy Joes (smallest buns ever!), wax beans (yes, canned), and Baked Lays. This looks like a lot of chips, but it's really not...I just dumped one of those individual-serving bags onto the plate because it looked really empty without the chips.

Snack, 7:15 p.m.

Cherry pop tarts...er...toaster pastries. I suppose that only the name-brand kind can rightfully be called pop tarts.

Snack, 9:15 p.m.

Yum.

Yet another Snack, 11:30 p.m.

Jon pointed out that the blackberries were on the verge of going bad...so we ate them.

May 16, 2009

Breakfast, 11:15 a.m.

Light peach yogurt & Honey Nut Cheerios. (No milk.)

Lunch, 2:45 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: Psychology Alicia called because she was having a crisis. After an hour, we decided to meet up at El Camino for a late lunch. I had the taco plate -- 2 beef tacos (hard shell), rice, and beans.

Snack, 6:15 p.m.

Honey wheat pretzels.

Snack, 8:45 p.m.

I wasn't hungry, but I really wanted some sherbet. I didn't eat very much of it.

Dinner, 11:30 p.m.

I finally got hungry after Jon got home from work. I microwaved a lasagna. (One of the individual-sized ones, not one of the entree-sized ones!)

May 15, 2009

Breakfast, 7:15 a.m.

The usual.

Lunch, 12:30 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: I had lunch with writing prof Nate. We went to the cafeteria (yuck), so I picked at some nasty soup, a tuna melt, and scalloped potatoes. I didn't eat much of anything. The cookie (oatmeal M&M) was the only thing I finished.

Snack, 4:15 p.m.

Cherry pop tarts.

Snack, 7:30 p.m.
Package of Goldfish crackers. I was in the middle of grading, so I didn't make dinner even though I probably should have.

Dinner, 9:30 p.m.

Norwegians love white foods: lefse, fish (lutefisk!), mashed potatoes... While others may look at this plate and see bland food, I think, "Yum!" It's cheese ravioli and sliced new potatoes. Mmmm.
