Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

I forgot to take the picture until half way through -- there was also wheat toast with peanut butter.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.

Same thing -- I forgot to take a picture of my lunch until it was all bagged up. I had a turkey sammitch with cheddar, a piece of string cheese, a granola bar, and applesauce.

Snack, 3:45 p.m.

I didn't have quite enough leftovers for a meal, and I was starving when I got home from school, so...yeah. It's a little on the heavy side for a snack, but oh well. I ate it anyway. Then I tried out my new Wii Fit. I have to say -- I'm pretty dang pleased. And also surprised at just how fat the Wii claims that I am. It says I have to lose 22 pounds to reach my ideal BMI; I was thinking it would be more like 10-15. Yikes.

Dinner, 8:30 p.m.

Goulash. So quick and easy, so yummy.

Snack, 12:00 a.m.

Watermelon sherbet. This stuff is so weird...it's definitely watermelon, though.

Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.
Oops...I forgot to photograph my banana and my wheat toast w/blackberry jam.

Lunch, 11:15 a.m.

I forgot to photo my lunch before I put it in the bag -- it's hard to get back into the habit of taking pictures! I had a turkey-and-cheddar sammitch, string cheese, granola bar, and apple.

Snack, 3;30 p.m.

Puffed wheat. No milk.

Dinner, 6:20 p.m.

Garlic shrimp alfredo from Chili's. Yes, I eat the tomatoes. Yummy.

Snack, 10:00 p.m.

Applesauce, and a few cheese curds. (They're Jon's, but he shared.)

Bad, Bad, Bad Sig.

As you may have noticed, I have neglected to post for something like two weeks. By way of excuse, I can say only that my new job has left me with barely any time to breathe, much less update the blog.

With each day that passed, the volume of photos became more intimidating and the time required to create a post increased. And, the more I didn't post, the less I took pictures. So I'm just going to do what Nathan calls a "blog dump" and throw it all into one post.

I will try to be much better in the future. Here are the last 2 weeks, in rough order:

M&Ms for breakfast!

Mexican.

I don't ever buy these, because I eat them.

Frozen raviolis.

Breakfast.

Papa John's has "Beat the Clock Mondays" -- for example, if you call at 6:30, your large pizza is $6.03. Monday is a busy day, and with yummy food that cheap...well... My half is the Canadian Bacon half, not the pepperoni.

Pistachio Pudding! I saw it at the grocery store, got nostalgic, and whipped up a bowl. Yum.

Chicken seasoned w/paprika, au gratin potatoes, and canned corn.

Raspberry sherbet.

This is what I eat when I'm at school.

Snack.

Home made mac-n-cheese pizza. For what it's worth, the noodles were whole wheat... This is Jillian's creation.

Breakfast.

Bag lunch!

More breakfast.

I hadn't had Taco Bell in soooo long...

More breakfast.

We have a rice cooker. I love it...and I should probably use it more than I do.

Frozen.

Breakfast seems to be my most photographed meal during this lame "I'm only randomly photoing what I eat because I think I'm too busy to upload a few pictures" phase.

Mac-n-cheese. Maybe whole wheat, maybe not; I can't recall.

Yet another breakfast.

Jon brought this home from work. It wasn't very good, as you may expect of pasta that comes from a restaurant know for its burritos. He ate most of it; it was too greasy for me.

Another school lunch. I feel like a first grader.

More breakfast.

Basil & Olive Oil Triscuits. (I think that's the flavor. Anyway, they're good.)

Another "Beat the Clock" pizza. I'm so lazy after work.

Puffed wheat! This stuff is so worthless...tastes like cardboard, and you're still hungry after you eat it.

Frozen lasagna.

Another school lunch. That's leftover pizza in the tinfoil.

Tastes like Grandma. Not literally...but my grandma, who died almost exactly a year ago, always used to feed this to us. Until college, I never ate it anywhere but in her kitchen.

I made this pasta...so yummy. It's spaghetti in a cream sauce (a really bad one -- heavy whipping cream + spices + parmesan), with chunks of chicken breast. So good, so bad for me. I try to only make this dish once every few months...but it's one of my favorite meals that I cook. Jon loves it, too.

See? I'm on to something. (Via Jacob.)

Daily photo posts will resume soon -- maybe even later today. I had a busy weekend, though, and this week is shaping up to be even busier. Excuses, maybe, but damn. Lesson planning is hard work...especially when you're not terribly familiar with the material.

September 5, 2008

Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast, and light strawberry banana yogurt.

Lunch, 11:15 a.m.

Turkey sammitch, Special K granola bar, raisins (I only ate maybe half of these), and a pear.

Afternoon Snacks (4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.)
NOT PICTURED: It was a strange day. I went on a road trip, and I had a Skor bar when I stopped at a gas station. My camera was buried in my bag and I didn't feel like unpacking it. A few hours later, I ate a strawberry yogurt granola bar since I wasn't going to have dinner until late.

Dinner, 8:45 p.m.

"Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich" -- chicken, ham, and swiss cheese. I ordered it without lettuce and mayo, and I ate the tomato on the side. I also had a baked potato...and I split an order of cheese curds. And ate a few fries. Yum yum yum. Not so healthy, though.

Snacks, 10:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.

When you take a mini-vacation you're allowed to go to the grocery store, load up on shit, and pig out. I had a few handfuls of M&Ms, 3 Oreos, and a bowl of the frozen yogurt.

September 4, 2008

Breakfast, 11:00 a.m.

Wheat toast w/blackberry jam, and light mixed berry yogurt.

Lunch, 3:45 p.m.

Campbell's chicken noodle soup...after I ate all the noodles.

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.

Turkey chili...with cheese.

Snack, 11:00 p.m.

Raspberry sherbet.

September 3, 2008

Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Wheat toast with blackberry jam, and a banana.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.

Turkey sammitch, string cheese, granola bar, and apple. Teaching makes me so hungry.

Snack, 4:00 p.m.

A tiny bit of leftover Rice-a-Roni, and a pear. I'm always ravenous when I get home from school.

Dinner, 7:30 p.m.

I heated up my leftovers, but I didn't eat much...a few shrimp, after sopping up all the oil, and I choked down a few noodles. The sauce separated when I reheated, and...yeah. The result was lots of pools of oil all over my plate. Nasty.

Dinner, Attempt #2, 7:45 p.m.

Peanut butter sammitch. I was still hungry after I ate it, so I also had a banana.

Snack, 11:00 p.m.

Black grapes. I shared with Jon, and we didn't eat all of these. They're just so densely clustered on the vine that it was impossible to break a chunk off.
