Brunch, 1:00 p.m.

Jon and I had planned to have a date of sorts last night, since he had Friday off for the first time in months...but my unanticipated starvation and nap kind of ruined that. We had talked about going out for breakfast today instead. Well...by the time Jon got out of bed it was 11, and by the time either of us felt like leaving the house it was noon, and by the time we made it through the car wash...well...you see where this is going. Anyway, we ended up at Fountain Park, a restaurant my dad discovered when he was in town. They serve a TON of food for cheap. You get fries AND soup with pretty much everything on the menu -- crazy. So, this is chicken dumpling soup, bread, a 1/2 lb. turkey burger, and fries. For $6.99.

Snack, 7:15 p.m.

Wonka Bar from the lunch box-o-goodies that Erin sent.

Dinner, 9:00 p.m.
NOT PICTURED: 3 slices of pizza. Psychology Prof Alicia came over to watch trashy TV. When she filed for divorce her husband stopped contributing to the mortgage payments, so she had to give up cable (and a lot of other things). Anyway, we watched "Forensics Files" and split a Spinach Alfredo pizza. I was skeptical when she suggested it, but it was actually quite good.

those chicken and dumplings look different than I'm used to . . . here they're always grayish white like a chowder
