Catching Up

I'm a bit behind in posting...I know. I was in Door County with my family last weekend, then they came to Sheboygan and stayed until Tuesday night. I was too busy entertaining (and doing my job) to bother with the blog. My Wii Fit says I got fatter during their visit, and I think you'll see why. Here it is -- the "blog dump" of everything from Sunday-Wednesday:

Sunday, October 12
Breakfast, 10:00 a.m.
NOT PICTURED: Cinnamon Roll.

Lunch, 12:30 p.m.

Chili and cheese curds from Mike's Port Pub. This is my favorite meal in the whole world, and this is my favorite place to have it. I had it with a Mountain Dew, because that's what I always have it with -- it just doesn't taste the same with a diet soda. My dad ate half of the cheese curds.

Dinner, 6:30 p.m.

We went to Faye's Pizza and ordered two pizzas, each with two different sets of toppings. I ate Canadian Bacon and mushroom.

Snack, 8:30 p.m.

Mmmm...Special K bars. My mom made them for Jon's birthday because they're his favorite.

Snack, 11:00 p.m.

Before we left Door County, my sister picked up a bunch of ice cream from the factory. This is Door County Cherry, and I ate maybe half of the pint.

Monday, October 13
Breakfast, 10:00 a.m.

Banana and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.

Turkey sandwich, granola bar, blueberry applesauce, and Baked Lays.

Snack, 3:30 p.m.

Leftover pizza.

Snack, some time around 6:30
I was really hungry but my family wasn't ready to have dinner yet. I ate a lemon blueberry Costco muffin -- I know. That's enough calories for an entire meal. At least I wasn't hungry anymore.

Dinner, 8:30 p.m.

Three cheese chicken penne pasta.

Snack, 11:30 p.m.

My sister and I ate Skittles while we (OK, mostly she) cooked up a batch of chicken dumpling soup to have the next day.

Tuesday, October 14
For some reason, I didn't take any pictures on Tuesday. Here's the rundown.

Breakfast at a hole-in-the-wall family restaurant (in my opinion, the best kind of place to have breakfast), 10:00 a.m.: Bacon and cheese omelet, white toast, and hash browns. I ate maybe half of this because the portions were huge.

Late lunch, 3:00 p.m.: The chicken dumpling soup Ingie and I made the night before.

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.: Leftover pasta.

Snack, 10:00 p.m.: Special K Bar.

Wednesday, October 15
Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast, and a banana.

Lunch, 11:15 a.m.
NOT PICTURED: Lunch at the college cafeteria. I had my monthly mentor meeting, and when we do that the dean's office pays for our lunch. It was actually pretty good -- grilled ham and cheese, tomato soup, wild rice, and a cookie.

Snack, 4:30 p.m.

Costco muffin. Jon buys the variety packs and then won't eat the blueberry ones...so I do. I mean, otherwise they'd just go moldy...

Dinner, 7:30 p.m.

Hamburger hot dish: it's a pound of hamburger, 2 diced potatoes, chopped carrots, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and a can of vegetable beef soup. This time, I think I used too much burger. I bought a 6 pound pack of ground beef from Costco and froze it in 6 individual packages, but I think this one was a bit heavy.

Dessert, 8:00 p.m.

Jon and I split these raspberries. We ate probably 2/3 of this clamshell -- a lot of the berries on the bottom were too mushy.

Snack, 11:30 p.m.

While watching Dog's 100th episode on DVR, I dug into some more of the DCICF ice cream. This is the best flavor in the world, Harley Davidson. (Orange ice cream -- not sherbet -- with dark chocolate chunks.) Ingie had eaten some of it when she was here, but there was still about 2/3 of the pint left, and I ate half of that.
