Breakfast, 10:00 a.m.
Peanut butter on wheat toast, and a peach. The peach
wasn't ripe enough so I didn't eat very much of it.
Snack, 11:00 a.m.
Today was a bad food day right off the bat. A student
brought donuts to the writing center as a way of saying
"thank you!" to the tutors, which was awesome. I chose
this one because it was on the small side, and because it
wasn't covered in frosting. I couldn't not eat a donut, since
she was right there...but let's be honest. I would have
eaten it even if she wasn't. I'm just proud of myself for
avoiding the big gooey cinnamon roll.
Lunch, 12:30 p.m.
To continue the "bad food day" trend, one of my bosses in
the LRC brought in pizza -- it was a combination "thank
you" and "going away" pizza. She'd offered to take me to
lunch, but since I'm either tutoring or teaching at lunch time
every day that didn't work out. So...this was the next best
thing. It's from Moose's Tooth and is half Aloha Escape, half
Wild Mushroom. I had one slice of Aloha Escape, and half a
slice of the mushroom. So good.
Snack, 4:30 p.m.
More cottage cheese.
Dinner, 6:30 p.m.
Because Moose's Tooth wasn't enough for one day, I also
had dinner at Bear's Tooth. (I made plans to meet my
friend Kerry there for over a week ago.) I had chicken
enchiladas in mole sauce, with rice and refried black beans.
I ate all of the rice and beans, and 1.5 enchiladas. The
problem with leaving is that I've had SO many lunch and
dinner plans in these past few weeks to say "good-bye" to
people. (We're writers with day jobs. What else are we
going to do? Drink ourselves silly on a weeknight?) I'm
enjoying the food and the friends, but I'm sure my waist is
not enjoying the calories. (The scale is on pallet to Wisconsin,
so I can't verify.)
Snack, 11:30 p.m.
The other half of the sorbet.
