Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Strawberry yogurt and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 11: 30 a.m.

Pretzels, turkey sammitch, granola bar, and apple crisps.

Snack, 4:00 onward

I ate a handful of candy corn, put the tub back in the cupboard, and...then I ate another handful a while later. And then another. I couldn't say for sure how many times that happened.

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.

Grilled cheese, and organic creamy tomato basil soup from Costco. I don't really give a shit about whether or not it's organic...but dang, it was good. There's more in the fridge, and I am excited to eat it.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.
No breakfast today, because I met Kelly the Exercise Scientist for lunch about 45 minutes after I rolled out of bed. We went to Two Rivers, not quite an hour north of Sheboygan, for a Special Edition Sons of Norway Meeting. The speaker was a professor from Marquette, and she gave a really good talk on the Kensington Rune Stone.

Anyway. No breakfast, and we went to Chili's for lunch before the meeting. I really, really wanted the shrimp alfredo pasta, but I resisted. I think that's a first for me. I had chicken instead, with black beans and rice.

Snack, 4:00 p.m.
Lots of good Norse baking -- those old Sons of Norway ladies really know how to put on a good lunch. I had two krumkake, a rosette, and...a brownie. A really, really good brownie. I'm sure my arteries hate me -- but these are usually Christmas-only goodies (apart from the brownie of course).

Snack, 7:00 p.m.

I probably should have eaten dinner, but I didn't. I was in the middle of grading papers, and knew that if I stopped to make something I would have a really hard time getting back into the grading. I had Baked Lay's, and then a while later, some candy corn.

Dinner, 9:30 p.m.

Four Cheese Rice-a-Roni. The grading sapped all my energy, so I couldn't bring myself to do anything more complex than a boxed dinner.

Snack, 11:30 p.m.

I'm a masochist...I decided to grade "just one more paper" before bed, which turned into two, then three...which led to a snack. At least it was healthy-ish...I had a handful of Oat Squares directly out of the box.

Breakfast, 11:00 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast and blueberry yogurt.

Lunch, 2:30 p.m.

Leftover alfredo.

Snack, 4:00 p.m.

Grading fuel: honey oat granola bar.

Snack, 7:30 p.m.

No, I did not eat gigantic cheese spread. :) I went to a Milwaukee Admirals game (think Alaska Aces-caliber hockey) with Kelly the Exercise Scientist and Season Ticket Holder. While there, I had a pretzel with cheese. I do not have a picture of the pretzel...but Kelly sent me this after the game, and I figured, eh, what the hell. I'll post it. So, what is this picture? Well...between periods, I shit you not, all the flavors of the Merkts Cheese Spread came onto the ice to have a speed skating contest. Beer Cheese won. Welcome to Wisconnie.

Dinner, 11:45 p.m.

A can of Healthy Request vegetable beef soup. Ingie is so right -- the healthy stuff isn't worth it, because you just end up salting the hell out of it anyway. May as well buy the regular. It's cheaper.

Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast and peach yogurt.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.
I don't remember exactly what I had, but I'm sure it was some variation of the usual sammitch and granola bar and other prepackaged foods bought in bulk at Costco.

Snack, 3:15 p.m.

Chips -- my favorite flavor of the Baked variety pack.

Snack, 4:00 p.m. - ?

These things are addictive. I meant to have just a few, but I kept coming back to the container and grabbing a few more....

Dinner, 8:00 p.m.

Cheeseburger, scoop of black forest ice cream, and a bowl of chili. The ice cream just sort of happened. I didn't intend to get it, but it sounded good -- which is odd, because I'm not a big fan of chocolate ice cream. It was the cherries that enticed me...and the cherries were good. The chocolate? Not as much.

Breakfast, 9:45 a.m.

Peanut butter on wheat toast and strawberry yogurt.

Lunch, 1:30 p.m.

Crackers and leftover chili.

Snack, 5:15 p.m.

Asian Pear Crisps. Yummy but worthless.

Dinner, 7:45 p.m.

Frozen alfredo and a slice of wheat bread. I thought about microwaving a vegetable, but...that seemed like too much work.

Snack, 10:30 p.m.

Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt. I was pleasantly surprised -- it's almost as good as the ice cream.

October 22, 2008

Breakfast, 6:45 a.m.

Strawberry yogurt and peanut butter on wheat toast.

Lunch, 11:30 a.m.

Turkey sammitch, blueberry granola bar, apple, and Baked Lays.

Snack, 4:00 p.m.

Leftover pizza.

Dinner, 7:30 p.m.

Tacos and rice. OK, the tacos look pretty sorry...but really. There was lettuce and meat in there along with the tomatoes and the cheese.

Snack, 10:45 p.m.

Banana ice cream from the Factory.

Snack, 12:30 a.m.

We got a big bucket of candy corn at Wal-Mart. I had a handful of it.

October 21, 2008

Breakfast, 10:00 a.m.

Blueberry yogurt and peanut butte on wheat toast.

Lunch, 1:45 p.m.

I ran out of bread, so no sandwich. I had freeze-dried apple crisps (so not worth the money -- good, but it's like eating apple-flavored air that doesn't fill you up; if you see these at Costco, do not buy them), a granola bar, baked cheddar & sour cream Ruffles, Quaker Oat Squares, and blueberry applesauce.

Snack, 4:00 p.m.

Strawberry yogurt granola bar.

Dinner, 7:45 p.m.

Turkey chili and Saltines. Very good.

Snack, 10:30 p.m.

My f*cker fish likes applesauce! (I call him the f*cker fish because he ate his tankmate...which shouldn't have happened. They're the same species and supposedly play well with others. Mine is just a murderer, I guess, so he's not allowed to have friends anymore. Funny thing is, he's a big wuss. He just hides in that little log thing all the time and only comes out to eat.)
